REGULATION
1. APPLICATIONS
1.1 To apply for FIMG 2026, candidates must visit www.fimg.mx and select the RULES menu to obtain all the necessary information for admission, including information on available spots and programs. Then, they must access the APPLY menu, where they will find the form they must fill out in full.
1.2 Applications for FIMG 2026 will close on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (Guadalajara time).
1.3 The list of selected students will be published on Monday, November 3rd, both on the website www.fimg.mx and on our social media. The festival may announce the selected students via email before the official publication.
1.4 If there are remaining spots for any instrument, the FIMG may open new registrations starting November 6, 2025.
2. PAYMENT OF TUITION
2.1 Registered participants who appear on the Selected List must pay the participation fee, in accordance with the application rules, the first payment no later than November 20, 2025, the second payment no later than December 20, 2025, and the last payment no later than January 20, 2026. (NO EXCEPTION).
2.2 Payment of tuition of the festival does not include transportation, lodging, or meals; each participant must cover these expenses independently. Immigration procedures, visa issuance, or any other documents required to attend the festival are the responsibility of each student.
3. RULES FOR PAYING TUITION
3.1 Selected candidates who do not make their payments on time will be automatically disqualified, giving another candidate on the waiting list the opportunity. Payment information will be sent via email to selected participants.
4. CANCELLATION AND REFUND OF THE PARTICIPATION FEE
4.1 Registrations may be cancelled by the participant, based on the following refund rule:
to) Cancellations made up to 7 days after payment: 50% of the registration fee will be refunded, excluding the full PayPal administrative fee, if applicable.
b) Cancellations made after 7 days will not be entitled to a refund of the registration fee.
c) FIMG will refund the percentage of the registration fee up to 10 business days after the end of the festival.
5. ASSISTANCE AND ACTIVITIES
5.1 Participants must be present at all educational and artistic activities for which the FIMG has determined their presence. Participants with scheduling conflicts or who are unable to participate in a class, concert, or other activity should notify the FIMG as soon as possible, explaining the nature of the conflict and offering a suggestion for how it can be resolved. The FIMG will review the request and decide whether the conflict warrants any adjustments or exceptions, or, if not, whether the participant's absence will be grounds for cancellation of registration and their Certificate of Participation.
5.2 If the conflict becomes known before payment of the tuition fee, the FIMG recommends that the candidate cancel their registration, thereby offering their spot to a candidate currently on the waiting list. Participants who miss a FIMG activity due to a conflict that was already known to them before their registration was confirmed will have their registration immediately canceled, with no refund of the tuition fee. They will not receive their Certificate of Participation and will be immediately withdrawn from all FIMG classes, concerts, and activities.
5.3 By meeting the criteria of frequency, performance, and conduct, the participant will be entitled to a Certificate of Participation with details of the classes, teachers, and projects.
6. EDUCATIONAL AND ARTISTIC ACTIVITIES
6.1 The participant must attend the master classes, rehearsals, and chamber music classes scheduled by the FIMG.
6.2 It is the responsibility of participants to bring their own instruments and accessories.
6.3 Participants must study their parts beforehand and come prepared for all rehearsals, concerts, and classes that require their presence and participation.
6.4 The participant must live with his or her colleagues and teachers in an atmosphere of harmony and mutual support.
6.5 Programming is the sole responsibility of FIMG and may change without prior notice.
6.6 Teachers may be dismissed or added without prior notice, and may be authorized to temporarily step away from their teaching activities, at the discretion of the FIMG.
6.7 FIMG is not responsible for the consequences of any changes.
7. RECREATIONAL OR EXTRA ACTIVITIES
7.1 Any extra activities that may arise, whether recreational or touristic, are optional. Participants accept responsibility for their participation. The festival is not responsible for any unforeseen events that may arise.
8. MINORS
8.1 All minor participants must submit a signed parental authorization form along with a copy of their identification. This form will be sent to all minors attending the festival without a parent or guardian, as the festival is not responsible for them.
9. RULES OF CONDUCT
9.1 All participants must comply with the basic rules of conduct during all FIMG activities, such as punctuality, order, and respect for teachers, students, and everyone within the institution.
9.2 It is strictly prohibited to attend our activities under the influence of alcohol or any substance that would prevent you from carrying out the activities properly.
9.3 Participants must bring appropriate clothing for class; sleeveless shirts and sandals are prohibited. Attire for the orchestra concert will be all black; women who wear dresses must be below the knee.
9.4 Any damage caused by the student to any of the festival facilities must be paid for or repaired by the student.
9.5 Failure to comply with any of the aforementioned rules may result in dismissal from the Festival.
10. USE OF PHOTOGRAPHS AND RECORDINGS
10.1 Participation in the FIMG implies the free granting of all voice, sound, and image rights of the participant, which may be captured by the FIMG or third parties on its behalf, for the inclusion of said material in various formats, during the current or future event. The FIMG may use excerpts and fragments from its participants, giving them unpaid use, adapting the information for the production of audiovisual works, for exhibition through screen projection in public places with collective frequency, at events with or without paid admission, and broadcasting it via radio and/or television of any kind (free-to-air or pay-TV, through all existing forms of signal transport: UHF, VHF, cable, MMDS, and satellite). The information may be adapted to any format and used on any type of media, such as CD-ROMs (CD-ROMs, interactive CD-ROMs), home video, DAT (DVD digital audio), DVD (digital video disc), and computer graphics media in general; it may be stored in a database or distributed via the Internet, mobile phones, including downloads, WAP, or SMS. The copyright on the works produced in these extracts may be transferred to third parties for any type of use (unpaid).
10.2 The participant hereby authorizes the use of his or her name, artistic presentations, images and voice, as well as assigns the patrimonial copyright on the submitted works, as well as the registration of classes, presentations, concerts, and the use of all material produced during the event, not limited to photos, or advertisements, films, spots, in any media used by the FIMG organization for its Marketing campaigns, including television, newspapers, magazines, and digital transmission media (Internet, YouTube, among others), with or without a provider.
11. GENERAL TERMS
11.1 Participating students whose registration is canceled during FIMG 2026 due to noncompliance with established rules will not be entitled to receive their Certificate of Participation.
11.2 Any violations of these regulations will be analyzed, addressed, and resolved by the FIMG Management and Organizing Committee.
