FIMG offers students the opportunity to work with world-class faculty through masterclasses, technical workshops, and chamber music coaching. Students will also have the opportunity to perform in solo and chamber music recitals.

- We accept applications from pre-formed chamber ensembles; however, tuition is charged per individual ensemble member. Masterclasses are held individually for each member of the ensemble, while the group participates together only in chamber music sessions and recitals. Participants who apply individually will be assigned to a chamber ensemble for the chamber music sessions.

- All festival activities will take place in the Historic Center of Guadalajara.

- The call for applications will be announced in early September, and the deadline to submit your application will be Saturday, October 31.

- You must submit a video performing a piece of your choice (for example, the exposition of a concerto). The video must have been recorded within the past 12 months and must be at least 5 minutes long. Piano accompaniment is not required.

- Chamber music ensembles applying as a group must submit a video of the entire ensemble, rather than individual videos from each member.

- Spaces are limited. Admission will be based on the quality of the performance demonstrated in the submitted videos.

Project Clikk, is a U.S.-based organization dedicated to increasing awareness and education about music around the world for individuals and communities facing economic and social barriers.

In the 2025 and 2026 editions, Project CliKK sponsored the tuition of violinist José Cabrera and violist Saulo Guardado. For the 2027 edition, YOU can apply for this scholarship.

As part of your application, you must submit a letter explaining why you need the scholarship and why participating in the FIMG is important to you. Be sure to submit a video showcasing your best possible performance on your instrument, as artistic quality will be taken into consideration.

* The recipient of the scholarship will be selected by Project CliKK.

Maestra Daniela Santoyo has generously donated a bow during the past three editions of FIMG, and for our upcoming edition, she has decided to sponsor a scholarship.

The application process will be the same as for the Project Clikk Scholarship. To apply for the Daniela Santoyo Scholarship, you must include a letter with your application explaining why you need the scholarship and why participating in FIMG is important to you.

Please make sure to submit a video featuring your best possible performance on your instrument, as artistic quality will be taken into consideration.

The Huilo-Huilo Music Festival, offers advanced musical training to outstanding young musicians with a strong commitment to pursuing a career in music, through an intensive program of activities led by section principals of the Brussels Philharmonic. The festival takes place in the Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve, one of the most beautiful natural environments in Chile.

The most outstanding student at FIMG 2027 will receive a scholarship from the Huilo Huilo Music Festival, allowing them to participate in the 2027 edition of the festival with tuition, accommodation, and meals fully covered.

* The recipient of the scholarship will be selected by the FIMG faculty.

The registration fee for active participants is $10,000 Mexican pesos. It includes masterclasses with all the professors of your instrument, technical workshops, chamber music classes, participation in recitals as a soloist and as part of a chamber ensemble, a participation certificate signed by the teachers of your instrument, a welcome kit, and access to all festival concerts.

The registration fee may be paid in two installments on the following dates:

1st payment of $5,000 pesos: November 20.

2nd payment of $5,000 pesos: December 20.

The fee for observer participants is $2,000 Mexican pesos. It includes access as an observer to all masterclasses and chamber music classes, a participation certificate signed by the teachers of your instrument, a welcome kit, and access to all festival concerts.

Winning participants of the Excellence Scholarship in the 2026 edition must apply, including an updated video to confirm their participation, but they already have a guaranteed place at no cost in the 2027 edition.

- The most outstanding participants will have the opportunity to perform in a chamber ensemble alongside one of the festival’s faculty members. These participants will be selected based on the video submitted with their application.

- All participants accepted to the festival are required to attend all assigned musical activities throughout the festival, without exception.

- A luthier will be available during the festival for minor repairs, at no additional cost to active participants.

- There will be one day dedicated to recreation or tourism. Participation in this activity will be optional.

- We have partnered with Olga Querida Hostel, located in downtown Guadalajara, which offers the following accommodation options for participants who are interested.

- Female dormitory with 12 beds and male dormitory with 11 beds. Each dormitory has several showers and bathrooms. Continental breakfast, Wi-Fi, access to a kitchen for those who wish to prepare their own meals or dinner, and laundry facilities are included.

The cost per night is $300 pesos per person, for a total of $3,000 Mexican pesos for the entire festival stay.

- Private rooms for 2, 4, 5, or 6 people. Some rooms include a double bed that must be shared, but they offer greater privacy. Rooms include a private bathroom, continental breakfast, Wi-Fi, access to a kitchen for those who wish to prepare their own meals or dinner, and laundry facilities.

The cost per night is $300 pesos per person, for a total of $3,000 Mexican pesos for the entire festival stay.

- Participants interested in using the Hostel must pay for their accommodations together with the two tuition payments.

- One of the advantages of staying at the hostel is that you can practice there and receive visitors without any time restrictions. The hostel has a terrace that can be used for socializing.
